生活型

形態特徵

  • An evergreen tree, up to 6–10 m, the branches lenticellate; bark dark brown.
  • Leaves 3–4, crowded at the top of branchlets, coriaceous, ovate or elliptic, 5–10 cm long, 3–5 cm wide, the apex acute, the base rounded, obtuse or truncate, glabrous above, pubescent beneath, crenulate to crenulate-serrulate, the primary veins 8–10 per side, the midrib distinctly raised beneath; petioles pubescent, 2–6 cm long.
  • Flowers 5–8, in terminal corymbs, about 3 cm across; pedicels slender, about 10 mm long, glabrous; calyx 5-lobed, the lobes ovate to triangular-ovate, serrulate, pubescent; petals white, broadly obovate; styles 2–3.
  • Pomes globose, about 1 cm in diameter, glabrous, with pale lenticels.

分布

  • 台灣 : in thickets of the northern and central parts at 500–1,000 m in altitudes.
  • 世界 : Vietnam, China, and Japan.
